The Altra’s are great shoes,\u00a0 but my calf muscles were sore alot, and I kept wondering if I would be able to train in these shoes in the short term because of the days I needed off from running.\u00a0 So I looked for another pair of running shoes that I could wear to help me transition to the Altra’s.<\/p>\n

Newton Distance III seemed to fit the bill of what I was looking for. They have a 2 mm drop abs are very light weight ( Update:\u00a0<\/b>2mm is practically 0mm. In hind’s site, I should have purchased something at least in the 4-6mm range).<\/p>\n

In my next post,\u00a0 I’ll report on how it’s going wearing these shoes so far.\u00a0 I’ve gotten a little behind in my updates but catching up.<\/p>\n

Update:<\/strong>\u00a0 Personally, I do not like these shoes much. \u00a0I always had problems in my arch or ankle, and there is a transition period to become comfortable in them, which maybe I did not give enough time for. \u00a0However, I needed something I can wear now, not in 3-6 months. \u00a0The POP1 lugs, with only 4 lugs, made it seem like I was sometimes imbalanced. \u00a0Score: 7\/10.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
