Week 3 Training Wrap Up

Most of week 3 continued in the high elevations in North Carolina. After week 2’s 9 mile long run with steep hills, I started week 3 with two very sore calf muscles.  After much debate whether to run Tuesday (3 miles scheduled) or wait until Wed (6 miles), I decided to stretch a lot on Monday and try to run Tuesday.  Tuesday’s run got better as I ran and Wednesday was slightly better yet.  By Friday’s run, the calf pain was completely gone. I closed out the week for a 12 mile run that went really well. 26 miles for the week.
