I am excited to be running with the Marines in October at the 40th Marine Corps Marathon, and this will be my second marathon. This is one of the best Marathons in the U.S., with 30,000 runners. Looks like I will be spending the summer running most Sunday mornings early, and it is one of the best things I love to do! It will be challenging, and I am hoping I can stay healthy throughout the training and get to the starting line healthy!
I also had some stomach issues in Chicago, so during my runs greater than 18 miles, I will be practicing and experimenting with using different kinds of fuels, to see what works best. My Chicago time was 4:47 and change. Nearly all of my half marathon times are under 2 hours, so I am expecting to have a PR at MCM.
I will post my training runs here, as well as any races I do in the meantime.
